Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook with over 5 years of experience to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-quality dishes, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to our kitchen's excellence.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and established standardsSet up and stock stations with necessary suppliesEnsure food quality and presentation meet our high standardsFollow and enforce food safety and sanitation regulationsMaintain a clean and organized work areaCollaborate effectively with other kitchen staffAssist in inventory management and stock rotationParticipate in menu development and suggest improvementsTrain and mentor less experienced kitchen staffAdapt to changing needs during busy periodsQualifications:Minimum of 5 years experience as a line cook in a professional kitchenCulinary degree or relevant certification preferredThorough understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipmentStrong knife skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesKnowledge of food safety and sanitation practicesServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 poundsRequired Skills:Proficiency in multiple cooking stations (e.g., grill, sauté, fry)Ability to read and execute standardized recipesStrong communication skillsAttention to detail and commitment to qualityFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidaysTeam player with a positive attitudePreferred Experience:Background in fine dining, upscale casual restaurants & or  cateringExperience with diverse cuisines and cooking stylesKnowledge of current culinary trends and techniquesFamiliarity with kitchen management softwarePhysical Demands:Standing for extended periodsFrequent lifting, bending, and reachingWorking in a hot kitchen environmentHandling sharp objects and potentially hazardous materialsWe offer competitive pay, opportunities for growth, and a dynamic work environment.
