Experienced Manager, Accounting Advisory Services at BDO International

Job Summary:This role is responsible for supporting clients with various tasks within the accounting and finance functions. This role is project based and will work with a variety of clients.Job Duties:Functions in various capacities including Controller, CFO, or Project Leader for clientsDemonstrates an ability to manage multiple client stakeholders simultaneouslyPrepares miscellaneous accounting reportsParticipates and leads various ad hoc projectsOversees all aspects of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closingDemonstrates an ability to perform due diligence procedures for clientsAssists clients with SEC ReportingResolves complex accounting issues, and assist clients with implementation of new accounting pronouncements including ASC606 and ASC842Ensures work is accurate and follows the correct technical approach  Creates and documents processes as well as suggests and implements process improvementsRecognizes and offers additional appropriate BDO services to clients Other duties as requiredQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Education:Bachelor’s degree, required; focus in Accounting, preferredMaster’s degree, preferredExperience:Ten (10) or more years accounting related experience, requiredExperience working with public, private or private equity companies, requiredExperience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks or SAP, requiredProfessional services industry experience, preferred Public Accounting experience, preferredExperience with MS Excel at advanced level, preferredLicense(s)/Certification(s):CPA, preferredSoftware:Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook, requiredOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Technical skills commensurate with level of experienceDemonstrate a high level of professionalism even under pressureTeam player and contribute knowledge as well as ask for helpFast learner and able to work ethically and effectivelyStrong interpersonal and oral and written communications skills with ability to effectively interact with customers at all levels of customers’ and internal organization Continually strive to improve inter-personal, management, functional, and technical skills setStrong organizational skills especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detailsAbility to travel minimum of 50%, preferredIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.California Range:  $85.00/hr - $95.00/hrColorado Range:  $85.00/hr - $95.00/hrIllinois Range: $85.00/hr - $95.00/hrMaryland Range: $85.00/hr - $95.00/hrMinnesota Range:  $85.00/hr - $95.00/hrNYC/Long Island/Westchester Range:  $85.00/hr - $95.00/hrWashington Range:  $85.00/hr - $95.00/hrWashington DC Range: $85.00/hr - $95.00/hrJoin us at BDO, where you will find more than a career, you’ll find a place where your work is impactful, and you are valued for your individuality.
