Experienced Automotive Parts Counterperson

Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to both retail and wholesale customers.
- Assist service technicians by accurately identifying and supplying the correct parts in a timely manner.
- Utilize dealership parts catalogs and inventory management systems to identify, source, and order parts.
- Process customer orders, special orders, returns, and warranty parts accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control procedures.
- Coordinate with the Parts Manager to source backordered or hard-to-find parts.
- Follow up with customers regarding order status and expected delivery times.
- Keep the parts department organized, clean, and stocked.
- Work collaboratively with the Service and Sales Departments to support dealership operations.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of automotive dealership parts counter experience required.
- Experience using dealership management systems such as Dealertrack is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with Toyota OEM parts is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and manufacturer catalogs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the dealership for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb as needed while retrieving inventory.
- Comfortable working in both warehouse and customer-facing environments.
