Ricaurte Precision is growing rapidly due to increased demand for complex, tight-tolerance parts across aerospace and advanced manufacturing programs. This role exists to support expanding capacity across multi-axis CNC mills, Swiss machines, and automated production systems.

As a CNC Set Up Machinist at RPI, you play a critical role in keeping machines running, quality consistent, and production flowing in a 24/7 lights-out, technology-driven environment.

The Work You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes, including multi-axis, live-tooling, Swiss, and 5-axis machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, digital setup sheets, work instructions, tool lists, and GD&T
• Install and align fixtures, tooling, vises, probes, and attachments
• Perform first article and in-process inspections, adjusting offsets as required
• Run production cycles according to work orders and production priorities
• Inspect parts throughout production to hold tight tolerances and maintain quality
• Enter production, inspection, and job data into ERP (ProShop) and related systems
• Document non-conforming parts and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Work closely with programmers, leads, and production management to minimize downtime
• Support continuous improvement through tooling feedback, fixture organization, and process optimization
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe machining environment

Machines, Controls & Software

You'll work with modern, automated CNC equipment including:

Machines:

• 5-Axis CNC Mills (Matsuura)
• Multi-Axis CNC Mills & Lathes
• Swiss Screw Machines
• Live-Tooling Lathes

Controls & Systems:

• Fanuc-based controls
• ProShop ERP
• HighQA QMS
• Datanomix machine monitoring

Inspection:

• First article, in-process, and final inspection in an AS9100 environment

What We're Looking For

Required

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment
• Strong ability to set up machines independently, including tooling, fixtures, and offsets
• Proficiency with G-code edits, probing, and multi-axis setups
• Ability to read and work from prints and GD&T
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with 5-axis or Swiss machining
• Aerospace or medical machining experience
• Familiarity with ERP-driven production environments
