Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDEALER SALES MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Interstate Window & Door Company Dealer Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for handling all accounts, both existing and potential, within an assigned geographic territory, with the possible addition of other markets to be determined. Interstate's DSM is responsible for developing an efficient and effective sales plan using all resources made available that continually grow sales and meet the monthly and annual revenue/volume goals of the company. A good understanding and knowledge of vinyl replacement and new construction windows, along with the ability to travel weekly, prospect, promote, and sell vinyl windows, are requirements for all applicants to this position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Generate and solicit Window sales through leads, referrals, networking, cold calls, permit lists, media, lead software/services, trade associations, etc., that will ensure full achievement of monthly and annual Sales Goals.Manage and support territory-based independent sales agents in the execution of the strategies required to achieve Sales Goals.Prospect, identify, qualify, develop, sell, & service new and existing customers to create and maintain a solid customer base.Build and maintain business relationships to optimize the potential of all existing customers.Communicate, coordinate, and update with other departments to ensure error-free service to new and existing customers, including all necessary new client paperwork.Knowledge of territory construction activityWork with Window Dealers, General Contractors, Owners, and Developers to sell large projectsWorking knowledge of residential construction practicesEffective planning and time management of weekly outside sales calls and consequent follow-up.Timely, thorough, and accurate preparation of all required departmental reports, CRM, forecasts, etc.Attend and participate in all required training and meetings.Participate in trade showsWork directly with sales management to grow sales volume in their regionCommunicate activities and business conditions regularly with sales managementKnowledge / Skills / AbilitiesPositive AttitudeHighly driven, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.Excellent customer service skills, with a proven track record of consistently exceeding customer expectations.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in computer and math skillsOrganized, Self-motivated, and Attention to detailMust thrive in a competitive environmentThe desired candidate will live within the territory as listed aboveQualifications / Prior ExperienceValid state-issued driver’s license and clean DMV record.A minimum of 2 - 4 years of successful outside sales experience and business development in window and door products is desired.Ability to travel up to 3-4 nights per week and manage travel expensesAbility to manage long-range schedulingAbility to sell
