It is also of paramount importance to us that we continue to foster an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion as we build a school community of individuals who are an actual representation of the world in which we live.Position Overview: The Extended Care Program Monitor will work directly with a group of 30 + students grade K to 5. to design, coordinate and deliver our school’s after-school program. The Extended Care Program provides a safe, fun and caring environment for our students and acts as an extension of the school day.Schedule: The position available during the school year is for approximately 30 hours per week.Lunch: 11:00 - 1:00Recesses: 1:30p - 2:30pAfter-school: 3:00 - 6:00The monitor will be working full time during our week long school breaks throughout the school year.Key responsibilities:Active supervision of children indoor and outdoorPlan activities (sports, arts and crafts…) with co-workersCommunication with parents and staffOversee schedules, arrival / dismissal of studentsResolve any conflicts by implementing social emotional learningSet up, take down and clean up to ensure overall cleanliness of spaceQualifications: Enthusiastic, fast learner, proactive Team-worker with strong communication skillsExperience working and developing age appropriate activities with children ages 5-10 preferred but not requiredFluency in French is a plus but not requiredEligible to work in the US We offer $25/hr and a dynamic work environment.
