Job DescriptionExtruder Operator - Day Shift Location: Fife, WAStarting Pay: $22-$25/hrSchedule: 2,2,3 ScheduleWorking Hours: 6 AM-6 PMAs an Extruder Operator in our Vinyl Extrusion division, you'll be at the heart of our manufacturing process-ensuring quality, safety, and performance every step of the way.Join the team at Milgard Windows and Doors, a proud part of MITER Brands, where precision, innovation, and craftsmanship come together to create industry-leading vinyl window and door solutions.Responsibilities:Operate 1-3 PVC profile extrusion lines to meet production and quality standardsSafely disassemble, clean, reassemble, and change over extrusion tooling sets using overhead crane toolsPerform visual inspections and take precise measurements using calipers to ensure product qualityMaintain a clean and organized work area-spray down equipment, sweep floors, and remove clutterComplete reports on productivity, machine conditions, and finished goods using bundle tickets and work ordersAssist with packaging and forklift operations as neededQualifications:Associate's degree/equivalent from a technical school or 6-12 months of related experienceForklift certificationStrong oral communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedure documentsBasic math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages, and bar graphs)Problem-solving ability and comfort with detailed instructionsTolerance for high-paced environments and multi-tasking scenarios Physical Requirements:Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 100% of the time)Regular lifting: up to 10 lbs; frequent lifting: up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting: up to 50 lbsUse of hands for handling tools and machineryVisual acuity for close-up work, color recognition, depth perception, and focus adjustment Work Environment:Expect a dynamic industrial setting with exposure to:Electrical equipment near water sourcesIndustrial chemicals and cleaning solventsHigh temperatures, airborne particles, and mechanical componentsLoud noise levels (85-115 dB range)Occasional fumes requiring open-air ventilationWhat We OfferOur benefits package includes coverage of your health, wealth, and wellness for you and your eligible spouse/dependents.
