Job Description:BHCC seeks full-time tenure track faculty who demonstrate a passion for teaching and a desire to join faculty and staff to expand and create new strategies for student success. Faculty must be adept in the assessment of learning outcomes and the use of technology in the classroom. Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st century learners. Additionally, BHCC seeks faculty who value advising students and wish to contribute fully to the life of the College. Faculty may be assigned courses at one or more of the College's locations. Applicants must have proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.Requirements: Teach mathematics courses at all levels.Evaluate student performance in the classroom and laboratory settings using outcomes-based assessments.Utilize a variety of appropriate teaching strategies to promote students' critical thinking skills.Develop instructional material consistent with course objectives.Participate in determining appropriate goals and objectives of mathematics courses and assist in developing course standards.Advise students in the Mathematics AA and other STEM programs.Use new technologies in the classroom, as appropriate, to facilitate learning.Maintain expertise and currency in area of teaching responsibility.Actively participate as a faculty member in the general College community and fulfill all duties as stipulated in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement.Requirements:Master's degree required in one of the following fields: Mathematics or Applied Mathematics; Physics; Engineering. A Master's degree or Doctorate in Education with a minimum of 18 credits of coursework in mathematics will be considered if graduate transcript(s) are submitted with application; Ph.D. preferred.College-level mathematics teaching experience required.Community college teaching in developmental and college-level mathematics preferred.Experience using instructional software for developmental mathematics required.Experience with contextualized curriculum development is desirable.Experience with teaching in Learning Communities or openness to engaging in the teaching of Learning Communities.Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.Preferred Requirement:Demonstrated experience with artificial intelligence in the teaching learning process.Demonstrated experience teaching in an online format.Demonstrated experience supporting student retention as part of teaching and learning.Additional Information:Salary: $58,438.00 - $62,960.00 (Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education and Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement.)
