If you need assistance or a reasonable accommodation please notify your Talent Acquisition Consultant.About the Role:The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is seeking a self-motivated versatile Facilities Maintenance Technician with experience in the maintenance and repair of commercial building equipment and machinery in a Mission Critical environment. Responsibilities include the 24x7 operation and maintenance of the facility including a national data center and Cash operations. Building automation system monitoring and troubleshooting. Ensures optimal functionality and integrity of complex mission critical equipment. Installs operates inspects programs tests repairs modifies monitors and maintains Central Plant equipment and systems.You Will:Perform operations and maintenance on complex HVAC Electrical Building Automation and Fire/Life Safety equipment and systems that support Data Center operations Cash processing and commercial kitchen operationsWork with building engineers project managers general contractors and management to support ongoing projectsCoordinate with other facilities groups to complete work that requires multiple tradesUtilize mechanical and electronic testing equipment and/or systems to isolate problems; operation of hand and power tools to complete specific repair jobsCommunicate with customers to resolve service request forms and documents service labor and parts detailsCreate purchase order requisitions to acquire parts from outside suppliersCommunicate with manufacturers and authorized representatives in obtaining technical support service documents and parts replacements for the repairs of building equipment and systemsOperate maintain and troubleshoot building control devices on Automated Logic System (ALC)Perform building equipment checks/rounds on every shiftIdentify and evaluate systems and components for improving the energy efficiency of the buildingPerform other duties as assigned such as preventive maintenance and daily work orders assigned to him by the Central Plant Manager or Lead technicianYou Have:Trade or vocational education/certification preferred; high school diploma requiredMinimum 2 years of direct experience in a mission critical environmentRelated experience in building automation HVAC/R electrical plumbing and mechanical systemsHVAC/R license and/or Universal Technician Refrigeration Certification preferredEffective trouble shooting skills using a voltmeter and other diagnostic toolsPC experience including the use of Word Excel and OutlookKnowledge of electrical/mechanical controls and UPS batteries generators and transfer switches; experience using work order systems and methods of procedure (MOP)Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints plans drawings and specifications; ability to maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence related to the workAbility to perform job duties that require standing kneeling crouching twisting upper body working in cramped positions in small openings lifting 50 pounds working on ladders and lifts; ability to work in areas subject to noise heat dust or coldTechnical experience in all operations of large commercial buildings including air handlers controls chillers pumps refrigeration and experience in heavy commercial electrical systems; UPS batteries emergency generators and ATSsProvides support to more junior team members and works closely with lead technicians for developmentEquivalent education and/or experience may be substitutedOur Benefits:Our total rewards program offers benefits that are the best fit for you at every stage of your career:Comprehensive healthcare options (Medical Dental and Vision)401K match and a fully funded pension planPaid vacation holidays and volunteer hours; flexible work environmentGenerously subsidized public transportation and free parkingAnnual tuition reimbursementProfessional development programs training and conferencesAnd moreNotes:This position is for the 3rd shift (10pm-6am) Monday-Friday. Schedules may vary based on current business needs or operational changes.
