(DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides outpatient recovery support services for those with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare.Our program philosophy is rooted in developing a healthy recovery ecosystem for those seeking long-term recovery. Through strong therapeutic relationships with our clients helping them to understand the underlying social and emotional issues that drive their substance use the recovery ecosystem focuses on five key areas:Health & WellnessSpiritualityEmploymentEducation/TrainingFamily & Recovery SupportWhat were looking for:Detroit Recovery Project (DRP)is seeking a dedicated and reliableFacilities Assistantto join our team at the Youth Recovery House inDetroit MI. This critical hands-on role is focused on the maintenance and administrative oversight of the building ensuring a safe supportive and structured environment where residents can focus on their wellness and long-term recovery.Compensation Range:This position is supported through grant funding. As a result compensation is determined by the grant budget and may fall within a designated pay rate or range set by that funding pay rate for this position is $55000 per year and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. This is a salaried role that is ineligible for overtime compensation.The Ideal candidate will:Maintenance Support:Assist the main Facilities Manager withroutine building maintenance minor repairs upkeep and coordinating external repair services.Safety Compliance:Conduct regular facility walk-throughs to proactively identifymaintenance needs environmental hazards and potential safety concerns; ensure compliance with all health safety and regulatory standards.Inventory & Logistics:Maintain an accurate inventory ofhousehold cleaning maintenance and administrative supplies; coordinate ordering and delivery.Cleanliness:Ensure a consistentlyclean safe and well-maintainedliving environment for all residents.Administrative Support:Manage necessaryprogram documentationrelated to facility issuesincident documentationrelated to maintenance and safety and facility updates in accordance with organizational policies.Compliance Documentation:Document facility updates safety checks and repairs in accordance with organizational policies.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Minimum of one (1) year of experienceworking as a Maintenance Technician Facilities Assistant or in a related hands-on facilities management capacity.A valid and unrestricted State of Michigan Drivers License proof of insurance and reliable transportation.Ability to work aflexible schedule including occasional evenings holidays and weekends as needed to support house operations.Ability to manage basic facility operations identify maintenance needs and perform minor repairs.Proficiency withMicrosoft Office Suite.Preferred (Certifications and Experience)Associates degreein business or public health administration or a related field.Experience withinventory management and logistics.Strongcommunication and observational skills.Certification/Licensing Preferences for Facilities/Maintenance:First Aid/CPR/AED CertificationMaintenance/Trade Certification:Certification in basic plumbing electrical or HVAC is highly preferred.Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM)or working toward certification.Certified Energy Manager (CEM).Certified Safety Professional (CSP).Specialized training or certification related toThe Joint Commission (TJC) Environment of Care (EC)orLife Safety (LS)standards.Relevant certifications related toNFPA 101 Life Safety Codecompliance.Whats in it for you:A collaborative environment with Clinical Site Leaders and regular peer reviewFlexible scheduling-Excellent work/life balance (full-time and part-time schedules available)Full comprehensive benefits available to full-time employees:MedicalDentalVision401k with Company matchEAPStudent Loan Forgiveness (PSLF & HRSA*)Pet Insurance*HRSA Student Loan Forgiveness is specific to positions approved by the HRSA Program.COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:The COVID-19 Vaccination is strongly encouraged but not required for employment with Detroit Recovery Project.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about discussed or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
