Facilities Electrical Engineer (Entry-Level or Associate)Company:The Boeing CompanyBoeings STL Engineering organization is currently seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our MW/SW Projects team in Hazelwood MO. Our team is hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Entry-Level or Associate Specialists. This role involves working within a dynamic facilities environment that supports critical production operations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in high medium and low voltage systems with a strong focus on maintaining and upgrading aging infrastructure within manufacturing facilities.We welcome applicants from a variety of professional backgrounds who are ready to contribute to Boeings mission of excellence in aerospace manufacturing and innovation.Position Responsibilities:Provide input to infrastructure planning; completes engineering studies; analyze current conditions and future requirements; recommend capital improvements; gather and analyze data; and work with both internal and external customers to identify and assess alternatives and impactsDevelop routine conceptual designs final designs cost estimates and provide maintenance support for the electrical phases of buildings equipment installations utility systems and groundsAlign electrical designs with customer requirements building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles practices and materialsAssist others to integrate the activities of multiple engineering disciplines outside consultants and government agenciesAnalyze the cause of asset failures and reduction in asset capacity by using reliability tools and methods (e.g. life cycle analysis condition-based maintenance root cause failure methodology mean time between failures fault tree analysis etc.)Ensure accuracy of drawing archives and/or librariesSupport construction projects by providing input on vendor selection reviewing contractor proposals and interfacing with government/regulatory agenciesPrepare and present project information to ensure compliance with applicable construction documents and jurisdictional requirements while also meeting project objectivesUse appropriate resources to produce project drawings and specifications in accordance with project parametersTranslate customer requirements into design options with documents and estimates; identify appropriate materials equipment and services by applying engineering principles and methodologyCollect customer requirements; assist in the creation of contract scope; participate in conceptual design by analyzing intended use/occupancy and desired aesthetics code research and the development of preliminary design elementsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelors Degree Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.Experience with reading and interpreting technical documents and/or drawingsExperience working in an industrial and/or manufacturing environmentPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Professional Engineer (PE) license3 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience3 years of experience with building and safety codes3 years of experience with lean processes and initiatives3 years of experience leading construction projectsExperience working in a production environmentDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
