Our top-tier benefits and great retirement packages can help you build a rewarding career and lasting future with the State of Illinois.Essential Function Serves as Central Region Facilities ManagerSupports the direction of the regions Property Control Program and instructs staff on Agency policy rules andregulationsServes as working supervisorWorks closely with the Agencys Security Systems Coordinator to ensure the regions compliance with Agencysafety standardsProvides input into the evaluation and implementation of the Agencys goals for meeting and maintaining Councilon Accreditation standards which are specifically related to the management of facilities equipment and recordkeeping.Organizes goals and objectives for the distribution/delivery of internal and inter-office mail delivery for the regionPerforms other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumeratedabove.Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college preferably withcoursework in business or public administrationRequires one year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization or completion of anagency approved professional management training programPreferred Qualifications 2 years of professional experience in a public or business organization conducting facilities management for multiplebuildings.2 years of professional experience in a public or business organization applying Department of Labor Occupational Safetyand Health Standards.2 years of professional experience in a public or business organization performing property control/inventory functions.2 years of professional experience in a public or business organization utilizing extensive knowledge of the principles andpractices of public and business administration.2 years of professional experience in a public or business organization exercising the ability to analyze administrativeproblems and adopt an effective course of action.2 years of professional experience in a public or business organization exercising judgment and discretion in developingimplementing and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.Specialized Skills Of the noted year of experience requires that the experience include facility management for multiple buildingsConditions of Employment 1. Requires ability to pass a background check.2. Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate valid drivers license.3. This position is considered heavy work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(d). Heavy workinvolves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.4. Requires ability to be available 24 hours per day/7 days per week in order to address emergencies etc.5.
