Please view our benefits guide here.Job Summary:The Facilities Service Worker ensures safe and healthy conditions by maintaining cleanliness in public and private spaces to employer standards.Experience Education and Skills:Minimum Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentBloodborne pathogen certification within three months of employmentExperience using window squeegees and vacuums (wet and dry)CJIS clearance within the first month of employmentValid drivers licensePreferred:One to three (1-3) years of custodial experienceBilingual in English and SpanishKnowledge Skills and Abilities:Ability to operate simple machines and toolsBasic reading writing and mathematics skillsFamiliarity with standardized work routinesKnowledge of basic office proceduresUnderstanding of customer service principlesSound judgment and decision-making skillsAbility to work independently prioritize tasks and travel between locationsFlexibility to work evenings weekends and holidaysEssential Functions:Facility Cleaning & Maintenance:Clean floors and rooms including mopping sweeping and vacuumingClean restrooms and replace suppliesVacuum areas and empty trash receptaclesClean windows and extract carpets as neededStrip and wash floors regularlyEquipment Supplies & Work Areas:Maintain cleaning equipment and suppliesEnsure sidewalks and entrances are safeSet up meeting spaces and assist with office movesSafety & Compliance:Respond to spills and report repair needsUse CityWorks for work order reportingFollow routines and adjust as neededCustomer Service & Communication:Communicate effectively with staffDemonstrate excellent customer serviceSupport team members to ensure service qualityAdministrative Support:Schedule cleaning and maintain documentationSupervisory Responsibilities:N/ATravel:Category A-Standard Local Travel: Occasional local travel within the County.Work Environment and Physical Requirements:Work Environment:Work is performed both indoors and outdoors across various facilities including office buildings warehouses outdoor areas rooftops and confined spaces.Work may involve proximity to sensitive or secure areas including access control points server rooms and alarmed facilities.Outdoor work may involve exposure to various weather conditions including extreme heat cold rain or snow.The position may require working on or near equipment that generates moderate to loud noise vibrations dust or fumes.Work may involve exposure to loud noise vibrations odors hazardous chemicals and uneven or slippery surfacesMay be required to work irregular hours including evenings weekends holidays and emergency call-outs as part of on-call rotations.Physical Requirements:Mobility: Ability to move frequently throughout facilities including walking standing climbing ladders scaffolding and work at heights when necessary and navigating uneven surfaces.Strength: Ability to lift carry push or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally with assistance as necessary.Endurance: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various environments including noisy dusty or hot/cold conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality.Dexterity: Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills hand-eye coordination including safely operating hand and power tools.Flexibility: Ability to bend stoop kneel crouch reach overhead and below waist level and maintain awkward positions when performing work tasks.Vision and Hearing: Ability to perform tasks that require visual acuity including distinguishing colors sounds and visual displays.
