As a skilled mechanic you will be responsible for performing maintenance repairs and installations on mechanical and electrical systems including HVAC plumbing and low-voltage electrical. This role requires strong technical skills and excellent organizational abilities.Key Responsibilities:Perform skilled maintenance repair and installation on mechanical and electrical systems including HVAC plumbing and low-voltage electricalTroubleshoot and complete repairs on various equipment often requiring physical strength specialized tool use and interpretation of technical documentsConduct preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is in a safe operational and efficient conditionWork independently but under the direction of the Facilities Manager with minimal supervisionMaintain daily logs of operation maintenance and safety activities for every piece of equipmentOperate forklifts aerial lifts and other equipment as requiredAssist with planned plant outages after-hours and weekend events and respond to emergencies as neededCollaborate with the Facilities Department on Naval ships mooring and berthing requirements including dry-docking evolutionsPossess and maintain all necessary BAE safety and environmental certificationsStarts regulates repairs and shuts down equipment as necessary or required per LOTO procedures / regulations.Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesRequired Education Experience & SkillsJourneyperson mechanic experience with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems maintenanceHigh School Diploma GED or Trade SchoolAbility to work at heights greater than 50 ft and perform tasks requiring physical strength and specialized tool useExcellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong technical skills including the ability to interpret equipment blueprints schematic drawings and machinery maintenance tasksProficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to maintain accurate records and logsAbility to work swing shifts weekend shifts and overtime as requiredPossess and maintain all necessary safety certifications and knowledge of safe rigging practicesAbility to work ovewater projectsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlinesPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $59800 - $91645 Key Skills Mechanic Experience,Industrial Maintenance,Packaging,Mechanical Knowledge,Precision Measuring Instruments,Schematics,Maintenance,Welding,Hydraulics,Programmable Logic Controllers,Manufacturing,Troubleshooting Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Monthly Salary Salary: 59800 - 91645
