JOIN OLD TOWN TROLLEY TOURS OF CHARLESTON!This is a GREAT opportunity to SHINE the spotlight on your MAINTENANCE skills!!!Facility & Vehicle Maintenance TechnicianThis position manages organizes and carries out the preventative and general maintenance inspection and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems and building equipment including but not limited to the internal/external structure HVAC systems plumbing/water supply drainage systems access control systems and ensures that all Old Town Trolley Tours of Charleston property is maintained to a standard that ensures the image of our company is reflected in the appearance and condition of our equipment and facilities. This role is also responsible for basic and routine vehicle preventive maintenance and care. This could include managing and organizing vehicle detailing/cleaning carrying out basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs installing mirrors or cameras and mechanical items such as checking and topping up oil and fluids.Employee BenefitsCompetitive pay and paid training: $30 per hourAll FT Employees are eligible for paid vacation time as well as company sponsored health and wellness plansAll FT PT and Seasonal employees are eligible for: paid sick time 401K plan with company matching* fun and upbeat work environment with various award and recognition celebrations throughout the year First Stop Health - 24 hr. access to doctor by phone or computer for employee and their dependents (Employer pays 100%) discounts in retail stores and free admission to all company attractionsOperating tours attractions and retail in Boston Charleston Key West Nashville San Antonio San Diego St. Augustine Savannah and Washington DC since 1980!Start your new Career with Us Today!*Eligibility requirements may apply.Requirements:Essential FunctionsBe a self-starter and able to manage their own time to achieve goals; plan and organize the workload allocate time to various projects or tasks as required to operate in the most efficient and effective manner.Maintain liaisons with contracted building and vehicle services such as HVAC waste disposal cleaning vehicle servicing to ensure contract standards are met and quality and consistency of service is upheld.Maintain liaisons with outside organizations and inspecting agencies including but not limited to local City Departments Fire Department and Police Department.With the aid of the General Manager develop and implement a building preventative maintenance program based on the property and equipment requirements and best practices.Ensure that all properties are kept clean and that cleaning is scheduled and carried out regularly both the interior and exterior to a high standard using a variety of equipment and service providers.Required Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesHigh degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a team within the scope of established rules and regulations.Ability to manage ones own time and the time of othersAbility to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships and negotiate conflict with employees supervisors other departments and external entitiesMust have basic math skillsAbility to identify gather and analyze information exhibit sound and accurate judgment and make timely decisions.QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalentSupervisory experience preferred3-5 years of general maintenance or vehicle maintenance preferredPossession of certifications in maintenance related fields such as basic electric or plumbing preferredValid SC Class C or higher CDL with passenger endorsement (will train to acquire a CDL.
