OverviewThe faculty will be responsible for educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time or substitute basis in the Forest Technology program. Location: Allenwood, Pennsylvania (ESC)QualificationsEDUCATION Associate's Degree in Forestry related discipline, OR, equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Bachelor's Degree in Forestry or closely related discipline. PreferredEXPERIENCE Three (3) years industry experience. Required Relevant secondary or postsecondary school teaching experience. PreferredABILITIES AND SKILLS Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required Developed organizational skills. Required Possession of a valid driver's license. Required Responsibilities Instruct and evaluate students in one or more of the courses offered in the Forest Technology program, including but not limited to: chainsaw safety, forest mensuration, dendrology, wood products, silviculture, wildlife management, wildland firefighting, pest management, and/or timber operations. Maintain accurate written records of student performance. Attend department meetings as requested. Complete official student rosters and return to School office as required.Physical Standards and Special Job FeaturesAbility to lift 40 lbs.Pay TransparencyThe part-time rate for 2025/26 will be the greater of $1160 per credit or $773 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven.
