Riverside Community CareLove What You Do!Relief Direct Care Worker - Family After School ProgramGreat opportunity to join our Family After School Program as a Relief Direct Care Worker!Riversides Family After-School Program offers a structured therapeutic environment for children ages 6-12 in the Cambridge and Somerville areas who have faced challenges including neglect homelessness and trauma. With a focus on clinically intensive trauma-informed services the program helps children develop coping skills self-expression and peer relationships while supporting family involvement through regular events and collaboration.As a Direct Care Relief team member youll work collaboratively with a dedicated group of professionalsincluding the Program Director Clinical Specialist Child and Family Counselor and Young Adult Peer Mentorto deliver engaging programming that supports childrens emotional and social development.In this vital role you will:Partner with the program team to maintain a positive therapeutic environment addressing the emotional developmental and physical needs of each childPlan organize and lead engaging activities that promote learning structure and safetySupervise and interact positively with children throughout the program dayCommunicate with team members to ensure coordination of care and consistency across servicesProvide safe and reliable transportation for children to and from the program and on field tripsSchedule: Relief hours available Monday through Friday between 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.Pay Rate:$20.60/hourlyWhy Youll Love RiversideWe make a true difference in peoples lives through rewarding work.
