The corrections facility operates a comprehensive outpatient clinic providing family medicine services to the adult patient population. The facility maintains modern medical equipment and utilizes the NaphCare electronic medical records system for patient care coordination. Support staff includes registered nurses and licensed practical nurses who assist with daily operations and patient care delivery.

The facility is located near Galax, Virginia. It is close to NC and Roanoke/Wytheville, VA.

The family medicine physician will provide comprehensive outpatient care to adult patients in a corrections facility clinic setting. The position requires seeing 18-20 patients daily Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with an alternative 4/10 schedule available. No call responsibilities are required for this locum tenens assignment. The clinician will utilize the NaphCare EMR system for all patient documentation and work alongside registered nurses and licensed practical nurses to deliver quality healthcare services.
