Family Physician at Flexzo Ai
JOB DESCRIPTION
About the Role
We are seeking a Family Physician to provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care in Northern Florida. This role focuses on comprehensive care for patients across the lifespan—preventive services, acute visits, and chronic disease management—while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to improve outcomes and patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope family medicine care to patients of all ages (pediatrics through geriatrics)
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries; manage chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, COPD, asthma)
- Deliver preventive care, wellness visits, screenings, immunizations, and health education
- Perform or oversee common in-office procedures (based on training and comfort level), such as:
- Suturing/laceration repair
- Skin biopsies and lesion removal
- Joint injections
- I&D, EKG interpretation, and basic splinting
- Coordinate care with specialists and community resources; ensure smooth referrals and follow-up
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR and comply with regulatory and quality standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team-based care planning
- Provide compassionate counseling on lifestyle, behavioral health, and preventive strategies
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME/AOA-accredited Family Medicine residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- Eligible for Florida medical licensure and DEA certification
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based model
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience in outpatient primary care, value-based care, or population health
- Comfort with pediatric care and women’s health (based on practice scope)
- Experience supervising APPs (NP/PA) or working with interdisciplinary teams
- Spanish proficiency or experience serving diverse patient populations (varies by community)
Work Environment & Schedule
- Outpatient clinic setting (typical weekday schedule; limited call depending on clinic model)
- Support from care teams that may include APPs, nurses, MAs, behavioral health, care coordinators, and referral specialists
- Access to in-house labs/imaging depending on site
