Job Description Family Medicine / Internal Medicine Physician Location: Fortuna, CAPosition Type: Locum Tenens (long-term, with permanent potential) Overview Open Door Community Health Centers is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at Fortuna Community Health Center. This role provides ongoing coverage in a supportive community health environment with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered care. Position Details Start Date: November 10, 2025Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PMPatient Volume: Minimum of 18 patients per day (mix of pediatrics and adults)Setting: Outpatient only (no inpatient, no telehealth)Duties: General primary care with some chronic pain managementCharting: Chart closure required within 72 hoursCall: No call responsibilities Requirements MD or DOBoard-Certified or truly Board-Eligible ( 5 years since residency) in Family Medicine or Internal MedicineActive DEA license required prior to startAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a community health center environment Credentialing & Compliance Credentialing timeframe: days (6 weeks typical with timely submission)Required immunizations:- Current Flu Vaccine ( season)- TB status or X-ray results within 90 days- Positive titers or completed immunization series for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella Zoster- Tdap within the last 10 years Compensation & Terms Competitive locum tenens compensation30-day notice required for assignment terminationFederal holidays observed: New Year s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas EMR Epic
