Job Title: Physician Region 1Location: Toledo, OH 43608Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday)Hours per Week: 40Duration: Minimum 6-month assignment with potential extension or permanent placementPosition Summary:We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Physician in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine with experience in primary care. The selected physician will provide on-site, full-time medical services to an adult male population in a secure correctional healthcare environment.This role offers a weekday-only schedule with no evenings, weekends, or on-call coverage. The position may extend based on performance, operational need, and mutual fit, with the potential to transition to a permanent role.Key Responsibilities:• Provide high-quality medical care to patients in accordance with nationally recognized standards and within the scope of licensure.• Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, examinations, and follow-up assessments.• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses, including medication management.• Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, and document all findings in the electronic health record (EHR) system.• Refer patients for specialized care as needed.• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings and peer review activities.• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.• Maintain compliance with all applicable medical, ethical, and institutional standards.• Manage a caseload averaging up to 2.5 patients per hour.Required Qualifications:• Active and unrestricted Ohio Medical License.• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.• DEA certification (or eligibility to obtain).• Master s or Doctoral degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical institution.• Minimum 6 months of recent relevant clinical experience.
