Optometrist Opportunity - Comprehensive Vision CareLocation: Colbert, GA - Atlanta 80mEmployment Type: Full-time, permanent positionPosition Summary:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist (OD) to join our patient-centered team. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive eye care, including routine vision exams, diagnosis and treatment of ocular conditions, and patient education. The ideal candidate values quality care, works well independently, and thrives in a collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive eye exams to evaluate vision and ocular health Diagnose and manage ocular conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and dry eye Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries (e.g., LASIK, cataract) Educate patients on visual hygiene and preventive eye care Maintain thorough and accurate electronic health records (EHR) Collaborate with ophthalmologists, primary care providers, and other specialists as needed Stay current on advances in optometry and eye care technologiesRequired Qualifications: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program Active state licensure to practice optometry Proficient in diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomouslyPreferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a clinical or retail optometry setting Proficiency with electronic health record systems Subspecialty training or interest in contact lenses, pediatric optometry, or low vision rehabilitation
