In this role youll connect individuals and families who visit the Bellevue Family Success Center to vital resources and referrals while collecting and sharing community insights to strengthen our programs. This position is located at Conway Health and Resource Center in Southwest DC.Our Approach and Values:We celebrate peoples strengths and acknowledge the impact of trauma on peoples lives.We embrace diversity welcome all voices and treat everyone with respect and compassion.We lead and advocate for changes to make systems more equitable.We strive for excellence and value integrity in all that we doWhat Youll DoGathers information as it relates to community needs from individuals who walk into Bellevue Family Success Center.Serves as the primary point of contact for the Bellevue Family Success Center and respond to requests for information and referrals at the point of contact.Builds and maintains an active resource database tool of community organizations and government agencies to include but not limited to point of contacts physical addresses contact numbers emails and type of services offered.Serves as liaison for at least 25 individuals or families weekly visiting the Bellevue Family Success Center and Creating a warm transfer to community organizations or government agencies at the point of contact.Provides administrative support to the Community Advisory Committee and the Director if Family Success Centers.Assists Director of Family Success Center Programs with being an interdepartmental liaison for partnership information.Assists with coverage of Front Desk at the Conway Health and Resource Center Bellevue Family Success Center as needed.RequirementsMust-HavesHigh School Diploma.Minimum three to five years of social or human services.Experience working in a non-profit social service environment serving under-resourced communities.Ability to handle a high volume and fast pace work environment.Strong interpersonal communication skills required. Presentation and facilitation experience a plus especially with teens and young adults.Highly motivated with strong customer service organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently take initiative and be innovative.Knowledge of computer systems including internet Microsoft Office and Excel.Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as required.Ability to travel between COH sites and within the Ward 8 community. Nice-to-HavesBachelors degree preferred.
