Job DescriptionWho we are:At Salt Lake County Youth Services we provide clinical services for youth and their families who reside in SLCo. Our services include standard outpatient crisis work assessments for both mental health and substance use disorder. We provide client-centered services to all we serve. Most of our clinical team has over 10 years of service working as a clinician for the Division of Youth Services.Surround yourself with: Peers who are motivated to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. We serve youth and families from all walks of life and social status. We have a 45% Direct Service Ratio to provide the clinicians the time they need for documentation trainings and staff meetings. Our clinicians have an option for flexible schedules based on personal and business needs. Youth Services is not contract based. We do not expect nor do we want you to double book clients.We encourage a work life balance:At Salt Lake County Youth Services our clinicians are eligible for 12 holidays up to 24 vacation days 12 sick days one personal preference day every year and up to an additional 5 days of bonus time off all paid! Provides crisis intervention clinical assessment direct service and referrals.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSGrade 14Current license in the State of Utah as a Certified Social Worker (CSW) Certified Social Worker Intern (CSWi) Certified Professional Counselor Intern (CPCI) Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACHMC); Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFTI).Incumbents with a CSWi licensure must obtain a CSW license within 90 days or provide written documentation from DOPL of an extension.Grade 14 salary $51021.00 - $76534.00 Depending on ExperienceGrade 15Current license in the State of Utah as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).Grade 15 salary $59541.00 - $89313.00 Depending on ExperienceAll GradesDue to the nature of this position the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerforms clinical assessments develops crisis and treatment plans based on the assessment tracks and modifies the plan as required.Provides direct clinical services including crisis intervention short term individual family and group counseling.Provides case management which may include coordinating and linking families to community resources consulting with other providers and making referrals as needed.Completes case documentation and all required reports in the appropriate format and in a timely manner.Performs other related duties as assigned including but not limited to supervising interns holiday clinical coverage attendance at meetings and serving on committees.Complies with codes of professional ethics; strictly follow agency policies procedures and code of conduct.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)Knowledge of:Social casework principlesFamily therapy methods principles and techniquesIndividual therapy methods principles and techniquesCrisis intervention theory and techniquesHuman development behavior and adolescent development principlesEmotional personality and substance abuse disordersPublic relations and communication skillsCommunity resources and agenciesSupervision practices and principlesBasic computer useSkills and Abilities to:Respond appropriately and effectively in crisis situationsFunction under limited supervisionApply general principles to specific conditionsExpress self clearly both orally and in writingReceive and appropriately retain confidential informationUnderstand and communicate well with youthAdapt to situations flexibly yet impose appropriate structure to maintain a safe environmentAdditional InformationSpanish Speaking preferred Key Skills Criminal Justice,Account Payable,Economics,Front End,Facilities Management,Domestic Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Monthly Salary Salary: 59541 - 89313
