Federal Work-Study is a program that provides jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay for college expenses. Full-Time and Part-Time students of ASU-Newport are eligible for Federal Work Study Employment.An Application for Federal Work Study Employment must be completed to apply for any vacant position. Please note in your application if applying for a specific Federal Work Study position:Science Lab AssistantLibrary Monitor/AssistantStudent Affairs Generalist (2 positions)Building MaintenanceStudent Engagement GeneralistStudent Engagement GeneralistThe Student Engagement Generalist is responsible for assisting in the daily operations and functions in the Office of the Director for Student Support and Engagement. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDSSE Office helpEvent preparations for each campusGreeting and directing guests at eventsRun Reports for NSO registration, events, and surveysScanning, making copies, filing, etc. for Surveys, Sign-ins, NSOs and/or as neededHelp with Student Leadership groups and activitiesAssist with NSO preparation for all studentsOrganize Aviator SwagPerform light housekeeping dutiesOther duties as assigned Library Monitor/ AssistantThe Library Assistant is responsible for maintaining daily library functions. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Check out booksAssist patrons in locating materialsShelve booksShelf readingAssist patrons in using equipmentAssist patrons with using databasesPerform light housekeeping dutiesOther duties as assigned Student Affairs Generalist-Newport (2 positions)The Student Affairs Generalist is responsible for assisting in the daily operations and functions in the Student Affairs offices on the ASUN Newport campus. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
