Position: Federal Work Study Student Center Assistant(Off Campus)Location: Girls Inc.Nature of Duties: Under supervision the Center Assistant will assist with preparation and teaching of age appropriate programs and curricula.Major Duties:Assist in preparation and teaching of research-based age appropriate programs and curricula using Girls Inc. programming as the cornerstone of instructionDesign and implement mission-related activities and eventsServe as a role model for girls staff and volunteers maintain high level of professionalism and attention to quality in all aspects of program delivery and work in generalOperate in accordance with Girls Incs policies and proceduresUtilize predefined lesson plans develop lesson plans and facilitate programs daily in accordance with lesson plansStay current on issues related to girls and childrenWork cooperatively with staff and supervisorsParticipate in staff meetings and conferences to share ideas concerns working collaboratively with other staff to meet agency and program goalsAssist with reading and math tutoringUphold and enforce center rules and safety regulationsPerform other duties as assignedMonitor the sign-in sheets for visitorsTake temperature for all incoming visitorsProvide customer servicesMinimum Qualifications: Be enrolled as a student at Columbus Technical CollegeCompleted a FAFSA and be identified as being eligible for federal aidComplete a Federal Work-Study Employment Application.
