Field HR Manager

Location: Study Butte, TX, US Job Level: Mid Level Home District/Group: South Central District Department: Human Resources Market: Transportation Employment Type: Full Time

Position Overview The Field Operations HR Manager is responsible for delivering HR functions and actions aligning with business objectives at large construction project field locations. This role will work as the manager of the on-site field HR team, delivering human resource-related support for the Project team, as well as acting as an employee champion, and change agent. The HR Manager is crucial in executing and improving the "Field HR" delivery model, used throughout the entire Kiewit organization.

Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR questions, issues, and problems (phone, chat, e-mail, face-to-face interactions). Manages various HR functions including employee changes, special pays, leave requests, separations, and miscellaneous reporting requests. Plans and conducts new hire and transfer orientation and onboarding. Quickly and accurately resolves issues in a professional, sensitive, customer-focused manner in accordance with company policies and procedures. Manage completion of all new hire and transfer paperwork, I-9 documentation, and required paperwork for the project. Ensures documentation is submitted and maintained through the appropriate channels. Address and resolve employee concerns and conflicts, ensuring a positive and productive work environment. Oversee performance management process for employees on the project including evaluations, feedback, and development plans. Manage staffing plans throughout project phases to ensure the job is adequately staffed with qualified personnel. Work closely with jobsite supervision on processing separations for exiting employees. Partner with operations to determine training needs, coordinate training across the project with multiple groups, and maintain a project-wide training calendar, providing visibility to leadership of status

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline perferred 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines 8+ years of professional work experience Construction industry experience including large/mega projcet exposure preferred Previous experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, and/or HR Generalist preferred Experienced HR professional who can strike a balance between systems thinking, HR program execution and process innovation Proven ability to take initiative and build strong and productive personal relationships Sound business acumen, strong analytical skills, and high attention to detail Ability to relocate for future growth opportunities in HR preferred Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
