Job DescriptionJob DescriptionTitle: Field Service Engineer Location: Columbus, OH Pay Rate: $35–$45/hour + mileage reimbursement + 5% bonus (based on location, experience, education, and skill level)Schedule: Always on-call (nights, weekends, holidays)Hours: 40–50 hours per week on averageTravel: 100% regional travel requiredVehicle: Must use personal vehicleOvertime: Paid at 1.5xCompany credit card provided for gas, parking, meals, and job-related expensesRequirements3–5 years of electrical experience, including high-voltage workStrong troubleshooting and technical skillsExcellent client communication and customer service abilitiesMust be reliable, flexible, and comfortable working on-callWhat You’ll Do Perform installation supervision, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage distribution gear, transformers, and related power equipmentPrepare technical reports, test sheets, and track tools, spare parts, and consumablesFollow safety regulations for both company standards and customer sitesAttend onsite meetings and coordinate with Project Management teamsCommunicate regularly with Project Managers to share updates and escalate needsDeliver high-quality customer service and represent the company professionallyIdentify opportunities to improve processes and reduce wasteComply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirementsPerform additional duties as neededWhat You BringAssociate degree in Electrical Power Distribution or 5+ years of relevant field service experienceMilitary experience preferredData center or mission-critical system experience a plusHands-on experience with:– Electrical power distribution systems– Power monitoring systems– AC/DC electrical power– Communication protocols3–5 years experience with low-voltage switchgear or power distribution equipment (preferred)Knowledge of UL standards (UL67, UL1008, UL1008S, UL60950, UL891, UL1558, etc.)Ability to read electrical schematicsAbility to use electrical test equipment (multimeters, current meters, etc.)What You’ll ReceiveMedical, dental & vision insuranceLife insuranceShort-term & long-term disabilityMatching 401(k)Vacation & paid sick timeTuition reimbursementQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
