Job Description
The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician (I&E Tech) is located in Point Comfort TX. This is a Monday through Friday position with on-call responsibilities nights and weekends if needed.This is a great opportunity if you are an experienced Industrial Electrician Electrical and Controls Technician Electrical and Instrumentation Technician (E&I Tech) Electrical Technician Instruments and Electric Tech or similar.Analyzes troubleshoots implements improves and maintains electrical power circuits and equipment. Maintains and upgrades control and automation systems and instrumentation electronic and pneumatic equipment used in pump stations water plant operations and measurement facilities.Key Characteristics:Duties include installing inspecting maintaining operating troubleshooting repairing and calibrating various mechanical pneumatic hydraulic electrical and electronic equipment. Along with completing all appropriate documentation associated with the dutiesPerform preventative maintenance checks on pumps compressors drives and auxiliary equipmentIdentify report and correct safety and environmental concernsPerform all work in compliance with Company standards procedures and regulatory requirementsMentor and train employees when the opportunity presents itselfMaintain electrical switchgear and power distributionResponsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all tools and equipment as neededOversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third partiesStay up to date on Operations Qualifications and required training Some travels (less than 10%) might be required for training or coordination purposes with the other I&E teamInterface and communicate with customers and suppliers as requiredComplies with company safety and quality policies and code of conductQualifications : Knowledge Skills & Abilities:Proficient with electronic test instruments and measurement devicesKnowledge and experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagramsKnowledge of Office software (Google Sheet Google Doc etc.)Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurersExperience working with water treatment equipment is a plusAbility to work with a team and coordinate work schedulesDemonstrates a high attention to details and is able to follow work processes standards and requirementsMust be able to work from elevated platforms excavated areas ladders stairwells walkways etc.Knowledge of simple programming and PLC software preferredKnowledge of Allen Bradley hardware and software preferredMust be able to respond to and address callouts and emergencies (within 1 hour) during and after regular business hoursRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED OR international equivalent 2 years experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment (trade school or apprenticeship training in plumbing carpentry or mechanical repair is highly desirable)6 years of experience related to instrumentation and electrical maintenanceMust possess and maintain a valid drivers license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurersPreferred Qualifications:Associates degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the essential duties of the job such as those listed aboveWorking Conditions:Some travels (less than 10%) might be required for training or coordination purposes with the other I&E teamAdditional Information : Compensation:The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute but a guide and offers will be based on the individual candidates knowledge skills experience and market conditions as well as internal peer equity.
