️ Window & Door Field Service Technician III

Milgard Windows & Doors (Part of MITER Brands)
Location: Tri Cities, WA

Compensation: $ - $ per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, starting at 7:00
Travel: Overnight travel approximately twice per month (up to three days per trip, based on service volume)

The Field Service Technician III is a senior level, customer facing role responsible for performing complex warranty and non warranty service and repairs on Milgard windows and doors in residential homes throughout an assigned territory.

This role requires strong technical expertise, independent problem solving, and the ability to accurately diagnose issues, determine warranty applicability, and clearly communicate findings to both customers and internal partners. As a Level III technician, this position serves as a trusted expert in the field and may handle escalated or more technically challenging service needs.

Key Responsibilities

Perform advanced warranty and non warranty service and repairs at customer homes, including:Adjusting components and hardwareReplacing parts and materialsConducting water tests and measurementsDiagnosing installation, product, or performance issues

Accurately document all work performed, findings, and resolutions in work orders and service systems

Review work orders prior to service to ensure accuracy and readiness

Determine warranty status and clearly explain findings and next steps to customers and supervisors

Requisition necessary parts and materials from internal suppliers to complete field work efficiently

Travel to service locations based on pre scheduled appointments within the assigned territory

Operate independently in the field while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service

Represent Milgard professionally and demonstrate the company's Core Values in all customer and business interactions

Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Qualifications & Experience

Prior window, door, or glass service experience strongly preferred

Required: Previous construction or related trade experience

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands on troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and make sound judgment decisions in the field

Clean Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving record

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work from ladders as needed

Company provided service truck must be parked at the technician's residence daily
