Electrical & Controls SkillsUnderstands Allen-Bradley PLC fundamentalsAble to trace faults in ladder logic / I/OCapable of 480V and control wiring troubleshootingUnderstands drives, servos, contactors, sensorsCan calibrate parison programming systemsKnows temperature control systems (zones, heaters, thermocouples)4. Processing SkillsCan perform full machine startup and warmupAble to set, adjust, and optimize parison profilesTroubleshoots weight variation and distribution issuesAdjusts cycle time and machine parameters for efficiencyUnderstands resin characteristics (HDPE, PP, LDPE, PCR, multi-layer)Can perform container qualification (drop test, top load, capacity)5. Preventive MaintenancePerforms full mechanical PM checksDocuments PM findings thoroughlyConducts oil sampling and filter replacementServices cooling and water systemsPerforms head cleaning and extrusion PMCompletes maintenance logs and PM reports accurately6. Troubleshooting CapabilityDiagnoses hydraulic pressure issuesIdentifies extruder output or surging issuesTroubleshoots temperature zone or heater failuresCorrects parison programming faultsFixes mold alignment and flash issuesResolves trimmer and deflashing inconsistencies7. Professional SkillsCommunicates clearly with operators & managementMaintains professional customer-facing behaviorTrains plant personnel effectivelyWrites accurate service reports and recommendationsWorks independently with minimal supervisionWilling to travel and support emergency service calls8. Certifications (Preferred)OSHA 10 or OSHA 30Lockout/Tag out trainingPLC basics courseForklift or man-lift certificationPolymer processing or technical training (Paulson, Routsis)
