Field Service Technician- Vernon Hills, IL at Actus consulting

Japanese Machinery maker seeks a Field Service Technician.DUTIES:A service technician is responsible to install all new machines at the customers site and train customer on proper operation safety of the machines and maintenance of the machine.Diagnose the machine problem at the customers site and do all possible repairs. If any parts are required the service technician needs to communicate with the office to order parts.When a service technician is scheduled out for any service calls; s/he is responsible to make all travel arrangement for oneself such as booking flight rental car and hotel reservation.This job may require more than 85% of travel.Report to their manager to let them know the status and progress of the job on a daily basis and/or when a job is completed. It is their responsibilities to communicate with the office to report their schedule.When the service call is completed a service report must be signed off by a supervisor at the customers. The service report must be filled out completely and accurately.When in office a service technician is to help out with the Service Desk/Phone Support and parts testing for RMA.(Phone Support)Troubleshooting the machines over the phone and any related issues if it is not able to fix the problem over the phone a service call needs to be set up to follow up.(Parts Testing for RMA)They must determine if the parts are good for re-stock or defective. If the parts are defective a claim report must be filed to the proper factory for warranty purpose.QUALIFICATIONS:- Entry level is welcome- English communication skill- Microsoft Office Word Excel- A.A. degree or higher- Able to travel up to 80%- Who enjoy working with machinesOFFICE:LAChicagoCTMedical Dental 401K and other benefits available.
