Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Field Service Technician - Water ServicesOperational Area: Gallipolis, Ohio Travel RequiredReports To: Lead Field Service SpecialistsGeneral Responsibility and Function: The Water Transfer Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and breakdown of water transfer systems, including poly pipe, lay flat hose, and underground pipelines, to move water from source locations to frac sites. This role involves physically demanding work performed outdoors in various weather conditions and requires adherence to safety protocols. Duties: Lay out and retrieve poly line and lay flat hoseOperate transfer pumps and essential water transfer equipmentOperate skid steers and assist with hose deploymentLoad and unload pipe, equipment, and materials safelyMonitor equipment operations and make necessary adjustmentsSet and service pumps and generators on-siteFollow all safety procedures and wear required PPEAssist in containment efforts and spill cleanupCommunicate effectively with team members via signals, radios, or phonesUse standard hand and power tools (e.g., drills, wrenches, hoists)Drive trucks and vehicles for equipment and personnel transportAttend and complete safety, DOT, and OSHA-related trainingOther duties as assigned. Responsibilities may change based on operational needs and without prior notice.Skills & Competencies:High school diploma or equivalent.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety guidelines.Willingness to wear and properly use PPE throughout the shift.Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).Team-oriented and dependableEnergy industry experience is a plusFamiliarity with machinery and tools, including operation and maintenanceBasic understanding of hazardous material handling procedures and safety protocols.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physically able to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 75 lbs. individually as needed.Previous experience in a safety-sensitive role is a plus but not required.Safety Focus: Adheres to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices.Education & Experience:Energy industry experience is a plusFamiliarity with machinery and tools, including operation and maintenanceWork Environment:This position requires working in both indoor and outdoor environments and involves exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind. Work is physically demanding and may include tasks such as loading and unloading equipment, handling hoses and machinery, and transporting materials or water samples. The role may also involve exposure to hazardous materials, requiring the proper use of PPE and strict adherence to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and operational procedures. Employees must remain alert and safety-focused at all times to prevent incidents and ensure a compliant worksite. Awareness of surroundings, proper equipment handling, and consistent communication with team members are essential to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
