Are you a seasoned construction professional with a knack for leading teams and driving projects to completion? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a passionate and experienced Permanent Field Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex construction projects, with a keen understanding of budgeting, scheduling, safety management, and quality control.
As a Field Superintendent, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all field operations to ensure that work is being carried out as per the project plans and specifications.
2. Collaborating closely with clients and project managers to understand project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
3. Hiring and managing subcontractors while ensuring their work is of the highest quality and meets project specifications.
4. Overseeing contract management, including negotiation, compliance, and dispute resolution.
5. Implementing and overseeing risk management protocols to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
6. Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining rigorous quality control standards.
7. Developing and managing project schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
8. Implementing and enforcing safety management protocols to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all team members.
9. Leading and motivating the project team to foster a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and excellence.
10. Managing project materials and resources to ensure optimal utilization and minimal waste.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Field Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
2. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
3. Proven experience in contract management, subcontractor management, and risk management.
4. Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage a team.
5. Strong budgeting skills with a keen eye for detail.
6. Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Solid understanding of safety management protocols and procedures.
8. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members.
9. Experience in new construction projects is a must.
