Field Support Engineer 33587 Walker Rd Avon Lake Ohio 44012 8- 10 years Contract Job description Responsibilities Provide technical assistance installation and repair of hardware software and systems directly at customer locations Diagnoses and resolving software and hardware incidents including operating systems Windows MAC and across a range of application software on the client machine Office applications Outlook Teams OneDrive etc Installation and configure Windows and MAC Workstations Office and other required business applications Physically mount servers switches patch panels and other network equipment into server racks often following specific placement guidelines Conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance of equipment Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue Guiding Walking customers through installing applications and computer peripherals Customize desktop applications to meet user needs Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs explain technical information and provide training on equipment use Accurately document all service activities including repairs maintenance and customer interactions Record technical issues and solutions in logs Help create technical documentation and manuals Skills About experience and proven track record as Field Services Engineer Strong knowledge of computer hardware software and networking systems including the ability to interpret technical schematics Knowledge on File vault Encryption Decryption Mobile device management configure outlook teams Microsoft Authenticator etc Basic knowledge on Office365 services Active Directory and user login methods Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals like printers and scanners OS and Application support ticket handling on INC SR Good to have ticketing tool knowledge SNOW JIRA etc Primary Skills Hardware & Software Support Installation configuration and repair of Windows and Mac workstations Troubleshooting operating systems and application software (Office apps Outlook Teams OneDrive) Networking & Infrastructure Mounting servers switches patch panels into racks Basic networking setup and maintenance Customer Interaction & Documentation Guiding users through installations and configurations Creating technical documentation and maintaining service logs Secondary Skills Security & Device Management FileVault encryption/decryption Mobile Device Management (MDM) for Outlook Teams Microsoft Authenticator Enterprise Tools & Services Basic Office 365 services Active Directory user login methods Ticket handling for incidents/service requests (INC SR) Familiarity with ticketing tools like ServiceNow (SNOW) and JIRA Peripheral & Automation Knowledge Printers scanners and office automation products Key Skills Active Directory,Technical Documentation,Windows,On-Site Support,Test Equipment,Linux,Internet,Preventive Maintenance,Technical Assistance,Troubleshoot,Problem Resolution,Setup,hardware,Technical Support,UNIX Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
