About This PositionWe are looking for an experienced educator who is enthusiastic about working with students ages 18+ with disabilities to lead our MAPLE (Mass Audubon’s Accessible Programs and Learning Experiences) Vocational Program. Through vocational programming at Ipswich River, interns have the opportunity to learn and practice skills important to future employment and education. We have 3 different groups of interns with job coaches working at the sanctuary Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. This staff person would know each group, their abilities, and assign the jobs they do.Application InstructionsPlease submit a resume and cover letter with your ADP application.ResponsibilitiesPlan appropriate tasks for each group of interns to complete each dayGreet interns and explain what the plan is for that dayDemonstrate and help with daily work tasksFloat from one task to another, checking on interns, and offering assistance when neededLocation set up, preparation, and clean upReport to MAPLE liaison with questions and updatesQualificationsAt Mass Audubon, our highest priority is finding the best candidate for the job. We are looking for applicants with the following qualifications:Must HavesBachelor’s Degree in (in process or completed) or equivalent experience, preferably in education, environmental education or related field, including formal or informal backgroundStrong organizational, time management, oral, and written communication skillsDemonstrate a positive attitude and work collaboratively, as a positive contributor to the teamSkills and ability to work with diverse groups, exercise cultural humility, and implement best practices in inclusion. Knowledgeable about Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary (our mission and inclusivity practices) and the MAPLE Vocational Program organizations and individuals involvedNice to HavesExperience as an educator, working with a variety of audiences, including students and adults with disabilitiesProficiency in standard business software, such as Microsoft Office or G SuiteCompensation, Benefits and PerksThis position’s pay range is $18.48-$20.79/hour; actual salary will reflect level of experience and qualifications relative to position requirements. This is not a benefits eligible position.Work ScheduleThis position begins in January 2026 and ends in June 2026. Variable hours, between 0-10 per week, with the opportunity for up to 20 hours per week on occasion.
