To be successful in this role, you need to be self-motivated, team orientated, punctual, have a high level of integrity, and have the ability and willingness to teach and learn. Essential DutiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Maintain a low Safety Incident Occurrence History Load and unload truckRead and interpret blueprints and engineering plans. Use the blueprints along with other data, such as work plans, to develop and design their welding/assembly projects.Lay out, cut, fit, measure and weld metals to create the desired shape or object. This is highly detailed work and requires the Welder Fabricator to be knowledgeable of many techniques and tools.Must constantly inspect and test welds and equipment. Welds are checked for durability as well as meeting specified standards and equipment must be examined to determine if repairs or new equipment is needed.Experience and Requirements3 years of experiencePossess a thorough understanding of industrial tradesEnjoys working with their hands and has an analytical mindBasic math skills and mechanical aptitudeKnowledge of specific welding processes, such as TIG, MIG and ARCAbility to use heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranesAbility to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs on occasion, stand, bend, stoop, squat, reach and sit for long periods of timeMust not be afraid of heights or confined spacesHave a valid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to work overtime including weekends and holidays as neededAbility to adapt to changing schedules and easily and positively adjust to changing priorities and department processes.
