DescriptionField Testing TechnicianIntertek a leading provider of quality and safety solutions to many of the worlds top-recognized brands and companies is actively seeking a Field Testing Technician to join our Building and Construction team in Kent WA.The Building & Construction team provides assurance testing inspection and certification services and building science solutions to deliver Total Quality Assurance to the built environment. We enable them to work with a single source to get their product the market access success they need.What are we looking forThe Field Testing Technician is responsible forfield testing activities includingtesting reports and maintaining client relationships.This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in building products testing!Salary & Benefits InformationThe base wage or salary range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set experience qualifications and other job-related reasons. (Include this paragraph if salary information is required or optionally provided.)In addition to competitive compensation packages when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical dental vision life disability 401(k) with company match generous vacation / sick time (PTO) tuition reimbursementWhat youll do:Carry out field testing on fenestration products (windows curtain walls storefronts etc) in accordance with the relevant AAMA/ASTM standardsDocument testing with data sheets and photosCoordinate with the report writer to complete field test reports in a timely mannerEnsure project documents are maintained properly in the company databaseMonitor field testing supply levels and coordinate ordering suppliesOther duties as assignedWhat it takes to be successful in this role:High School or GED required Associates Degree preferredConstruction or carpentry experience preferredExperience with power tools preferredExperience testing fenestration products to AAMA/ASTM standardsAbility to read architectural drawings and specificationsExcellent organizational skillsStrong communication skillsAbility to lift move push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently occasionally over 50 pounds with assistanceAbility to kneel and squat occasionallyAbility to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)Ability to climb and work from laddersAbility to pass federal security clearances (required)Valid drivers license and reliable driving record (required)Intertek: Total Quality.
