Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!This role is part of Blue Origin Operations which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain Test Operations Safety Quality and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.Provides tactical and technical support to Engineering/Production/Manufacturing by performing activities such as design test check-out modification fabrication and assembly of prototype electro/mechanical systems experimental design circuitry laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. Applications may include electronic circuits photonics and logic systems. Works from schematics diagrams written and verbal descriptions layouts or defined plans to perform testing checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the design construction test and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing test development or diagnostic equipment including but not limited to test programs oscilloscopes signal generators and specialized test apparatus.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise leadership skills and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!As part of a hardworking team of specialists technicians and engineers you will be responsible for the assembly and development of Rocket Engines in Final Assembly.This position will require shift flexibility to align with changes in business need. Shift schedules are outlined below: A Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00AM-3:30PM B Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:00PM-1:30AM C Shift: Friday-Sunday 5:00AM-5:30PMSpecial Mentions:Relocation providedTravel expected up to 5% of the timeShifts available:All shiftsInterviews will include a technical assessmentMultiple positions availableResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Thrust Chamber assemblies and alloy applicationRoot cause and diagnostic component disassembly repair and workNitrogen and Helium leak testingPreparation for environmental testingHydro proof structural testing of componentsCreating and maintaining strict cleanliness requirements (liquid/gaseous oxygen compatibility)Support the design procurement installation and integration of custom manufacturing and test equipmentHelp maintain inventory of tooling and equipmentSafely work with hazardous systems chemicals and high-pressure operationsDefine how to prepare hardware for test qualification and flightIdentify develop and deploy new manufacturing methods (or refine existing) to improve quality reduce cost and optimize build scheduleSupport the development of manufacturing work instructions to clearly define the following manufacturing processes: receiving inspection fabrication assembly test and integration and refurbishmentIdentify non-conformances and escapes support and deploy corrective actionsMinimum Qualifications:1 to 3 years of manufacturing or engine assembly experienceAbility to use hand and power tools effectively.Strong attention to detail and precision in work.Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.Strong ability to interpret engineering drawingsExtensive experience reading and understanding specifications and detailed work instructionsProven experience and successful track record in developing new processesStrong written personal technical and software skills (CAD Scheduling Issue Tracking Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook etc)Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at all levels of the organization.Physical Requirements:Climb ladders and stairsLift and carry 50 lbs. for limited durationsWork schedule may vary depending on business needRemain flexible by working overtime and weekends (when necessary)Able and willing to travel for the first 6-12 months for training.Preferred Qualifications:Aerospace Aviation or Automotive experience.Culture StatementDont meet all desired requirements Studies have shown that some people are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single desired qualification.
