Finance Data & Systems Manager at Databricks

GAQ426R201Mission:Databricks is looking for a Finance Data and Systems Manager reporting to the Finance Data and Systems Director. You will combine finance and accounting expertise with technical proficiency in SQL and Python to automate workflows shorten the close and improve financial reporting. This role requires a collaborative and detail-oriented individual who can build scalable solutions across various Controllership functions including GL Accounting Payroll Equity Commissions and Tax.The impact you will have:Design develop and maintain pipelines to transform ERP payroll equity compensation commissions and tax data using Databricks SQL and Python / PySpark automating journalentry creation accrual calculations and other core financial processesOrchestrate jobs using Databricks Jobs and Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines with built-in data validation and reconciliationsBuild reports and dashboards for monthly quarterly and executive-level reportingPublish curated finance datasets and enable self-service analytics while enforcing row-level security and data access policiesDocument data lineage model definitions and business logic in a central catalog and wikiEnforce Git-based version control pull-request reviews and CI/CD pipelines (Databricks Asset Bundles GitHub Actions) to satisfy SOX change management requirementsProvide support during financial close and ensure timely resolution of data-related issuesPartner with IT and Engineering to provide requirements and perform UAT of new systems and processesEstablish coding data management and documentation standards and best practicesServe as a proactive leader who regularly assesses pain points aligns with cross-functional teams on organizational objectives and inspires and holds team members accountable for achieving high-quality resultsWhat we look for:Bachelors degree in Business Finance Accounting or a related field6 years or equivalent tenure from related positions in accounting FP&A or data analyticsUS GAAP experience with a strong understanding of SaaS/usage-based billingCPA certification is a plusWorking experience with SQL and/or PythonExpert in Excel or Google SheetsProficiency with CRM and ERP systems such as NetSuite and SalesforceRequired Experience:Manager Key Skills SQL,Data Collection,GCP,Master Data Management,R,Data Management,Clinical Trials,User Acceptance Testing,Data Warehouse,SAS,Oracle,Data Analysis Skills Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
