Join us and take your place in space.The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as Finance Manager for the Facilities Division and capital. As a Finance Manager, you will provide leadership in all areas of financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities for the Facilities Division and our corporate capital budget. Specific responsibilities include annual and multi-year budgeting, development of financial forecasts and planning scenarios, development and implementation of financial and operational metrics, dashboards, and capital expenditure planning. Responsible for improvements in financial and business processes as dictated by the Group CFO. Will serve as a trusted financial advisor to all levels of the Facilities divisions, providing the financial data, trends analysis, and predictive analytics that the corporation needs to deliver its value proposition to customers and to meet its goals. Will work closely with the Group CFO to ensure a consistent vision and implementation of financial policies, practices, and processes throughout the Company.This position is full-time onsite, located at either our campus facility in El Segundo, California or Chantilly, Virginia. What You'll Be Doing Key financial business advisor to executive and/or senior leadership; playing a key role in the development of strategic plans and business-related processes and implementation of near-term and long-range strategies to achieve corporate goalsDevelops financial forecasts and manages budgets for both overhead and capital portfolios, including long-term facilities capital planning strategiesProvides key inputs into the corporate budgeting process and communicates budget decisions back to the organizationInforms Group CFO and Divisional leadership on financial trends and reporting unit performance; recommends corrective actions to achieve financial plansIdentifies, defines, and deploys metrics and key performance indicators for management to make informed business decisions and implement effective operational strategies Updates financial forecasts monthly and provides standardized reporting and analysis of budget variances and other key financial metrics to the Group CFOUtilize business intelligence tools to build standardized financial analytics dashboards and provide leadership team with ad hoc analysisEducates divisional technical management on financial concepts, approaches and relationships, cost structures, and business modelsGenerates and recommends value-informed purchasing and investing on behalf of the General Manager and/or VP; assist leaders with business case preparation to ensure value-driven investment decisionsWhat You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements:Bachelors degree in Finance, Business or related fieldEight or more years of experience in financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting including 1-2 years of capital planningOutstanding leadership, interpersonal, and communications skills with demonstrated ability tocollaborate effectively with peers, direct reports, customers, and leadershipAble to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changes as neededExcellent written and verbal communication skills - can organize complex materials and concepts in a manner that is clear, persuasive, logical and builds a consensusDemonstrated experience as a resourceful and creative solution finder who can developoptions with a broad perspective on the potential impact to the corporationTravel required approximately 10-20%How You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:MBA, CPA, and/or advanced degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related fieldTwo or more years of experience in a US Government (Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) contracting environmentKnowledge of governmental and government contractor budgeting systems and practicesKnowledge of cost accounting standards (CAS)and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Expertise in strategic planning and deployment of Finance services for a geographically dispersed organizationExperience with SAP S/4Hana and AribaPrior experience as a Financial Manager, or equivalent is desiredPrior experience in project management and toolsPrior experience within research or Federally Funded Research & Development Center (FFRDC) environment is desirableAbility to establish rapport and build trust quickly at all levels of the organizationCross-functional collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to make critical decisionsand influence othersApplies critical thinking to determine which ideas to pursue and implementWe offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
