Financial Aid Manager (Scholarships)Job No: 538009Work Type: Full TimeLocation: Main Campus (Gainesville, FL)Categories: Academic Advising/Support, Business/Accounting/Finance, Office/Administrative/Fiscal SupportDepartment: 03060000 - EM-STUDENT FINANCIAL AID ADMINJob Description Classification Title: MGR, Academic Support SrvcsClassification Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Job Description: The University of Florida is looking for a Financial Aid Manager to lead scholarship administration within the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (SFA). In this role, you will manage scholarship processes across campus, oversee Scholarship Universe functionality, and ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Scholarship Administration & System Management Manage administration of all SFA Foundation Scholarships, including eligibility determination, recipient selection, awarding, funds management, documentation, and mandatory reporting. Oversee Scholarship Universe functionality, including initial setup, annual maintenance, and donor criteria interpretation. Provide training, reference materials, and presentations for campus scholarship managers. Assist departments with technical and functional scholarship inquiries via phone, email, Zoom, and Teams. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate scholarship eligibility, reporting, and disbursement. Track scholarship expenditures and assist with account reconciliation and fund transfers. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations for scholarship programs. Assist supervisor with scholarship reconciliation processes in accordance with university policy. Planning, Outreach & Advising Participate in planning and administration of financial aid activities. Advise faculty, staff, and administrators on university financial aid policies. Represent SFA at Enrollment Management events, recruitment activities, and professional development conferences. Supervision & Leadership Hire, train, and supervise student employees assigned to the area. Establish work priorities, assignments, schedules, and deadlines for the team. Provide guidance on policies and resolve escalated issues. Other Duties Occasional travel for Enrollment Management events and professional development workshops. Conduct financial aid presentations for prospective students and families. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the mission of SFA and Enrollment Management.
