Job Description

As a Highwoods Financial Analyst youll join a dynamic team of finance professionals dedicated to providing exceptional service analysis and project support in strategy initiatives. This position will have a role in helping implement data visualization/business intelligence tools.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare monthly quarterly and ad hoc reports which may include:OccupancyLeasing Statistics and AnalysisMarket AnalysisDivision Monthly Financial Reviews including identifying Key Performance DriversCorporate Monthly Financial ReviewsPreparing data for the Companys publicly released documentsInvestment Report CardAd Hoc Analysis for Analyst Calls Board Division and Officer MeetingsPeer Overview and AnalysisImpairment AnalysisAssist Finance team with exploring new ways to view and use internal and external data sources to improve communication and advocate new ways to approach business challenges.Work with the Investments team to underwrite potential acquisitions and dispositions using both Argus and internal company forecasts.Maintain and coordinate data rooms for Investments transactions.Work closely with CFO COO and other executives on strategic initiatives on an as needed basis.QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES:Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skillsProficiency in the creation and manipulation of Excel spreadsheetsExcellent time management written and oral communication skillsAbility to prioritize deadlines and work independentlyStrong interpersonal skillsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelors degree in finance accounting business or economics1-2 years of experience in accounting finance or real estate helpfulComputer proficiency MS Office and Global Software experience a plusPrior experience with Argus strongly preferredPrior experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence a plusWhy Join Our TeamAt Highwoods you will be part of our people-focused culture which is a supportive environment where your growth and success are as important as that of our customers.
