Were looking for Engineers who know their way around components and supply and who want to help build technology that supports national defense and electronic systems. As a Component Quality Engineer II you will be responsible for the programmatic oversight and guidance to the selection development evaluation qualification production and procurement of electronic parts. What Youll Do:Develop and revise foundational program documentation (such as Parts Management Plan Device Evaluation Testing Plan Qualification Plan Lot Acceptance etc.)Identify key deliverables and dependencies identify risks and opportunities ensure plans are in place to meet program milestones and make needed technical and quality related decisionsIndependently drive solutions to complex problems - develop requirements propose ways forward when requirements are unclear or incomplete and adapt appropriately to changes in requirementsEstablish and maintain process for a common parts libraryInterface and coordinate decisions from various stakeholders including but not limited to designers component engineers procurement agencies to assess enabling technologies and the selection of parts.Maintain the Approved Parts List and associated interface with Design Environment InfrastructureCoordinate Supply Chain Management requirements including Program ProtectionContribute to the development of Procurement Plans/StrategiesContribute to the establishment of supplier quality requirements and conduct supplier evaluations and supply chain risk management assessments Contribute to establishment of part specification requirements and associated templatesDefine prototype acceptance requirements production quality levels production traceability requirements production acceptance approach What You Bring:Experience working with electronic parts circuit card assemblies radiation hardened testing and parts acceptance requirements.Experience working with evolving requirements involving cross-functional stakeholders.Ability to work independentlyStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to prioritize tasksStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood interpersonal skills to communicate clearlyExcellent written and oral communication skillsJob Description:Duties/Responsibilities Provide technical assistance and support to customers suppliers and employees in resolving issues. Assist in the improvement of manufacturing process and product efficiency to reduce nonconforming products. Ensures products meet the organizations and customers quality and product integrity requirements. Supports product development or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process. Participates in a cross function team in the determination of root cause of failures. Identifies when failure analysis is necessary along with providing recommendations of the corrective measures. Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects. Performs other duties as assigned.Skills/Abilities Ability to work on cross functional teams Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles Familiarity with Quality Standards ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100. Expert knowledge and skills in process integration. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreements approved rates by location and role.
