To review insurance information is correct and O/P insurance is verified for accuracy. To request payment for deductibles / co-pays for all O/Ps and review for any areas of incompleteness..KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPull daily census whether inpatient or outpatientVerifying insurance benefits verification and documenting on the accountUtilize online tools and payer websites for pricing and contractsVerifying that all pre-certifications have been done with the insuranceWork directly with case managementReview benefits and payment/deductible/copay with the patientOffer charity application as neededCollect money and/or secure payment via phone or in personSet up payment plans and provide receiptObtain patient signatures on forms for Medicare: IMMs and MOONs and scan into electronic recordResolve billing issues for online inquiries walk ins and call in patientsEscalate settlement offer complaints and unresolvable issues to leadershipTECHNICAL CAPABILITIESInsurance Regulatory Knowledge (Intermediate): Demonstrates knowledge of the appropriate rules and regulations for insurance policies claims payment and coverage. Ability to interpret and explain rules and regulations that are ambiguous or unclear.Communication of Results (Intermediate): Communicates results and recommendations to customers in a concise and non-technical format. Clearly states implications and potential next steps. Presents analysis ideas and findings using the appropriate data visualization and presentation tools such as Word Excel Tableau and PowerPoint.Problem Solving (Intermediate): Uses critical thinking and process improvement i.e. coaches and mentors development of problem statement describes current state identifies root causes creates future state coaches and mentors development of solutions and action plans with a sustainability plan.
