Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout the Role:The Head Teller plays a critical leadership role within the financial operations of a company, overseeing the teller team to ensure efficient, accurate, and secure transaction processing. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service while managing daily cash flow and balancing teller drawers. The Head Teller acts as a liaison between the teller staff and upper management, facilitating communication and implementing policies to improve operational effectiveness. This role requires a strong focus on compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls to safeguard company assets. Ultimately, the Head Teller ensures that all teller activities align with the company’s goals for customer satisfaction, risk management, and operational excellence.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a teller or cash handling role within a financial institution or related industry.Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience managing a team.Strong knowledge of cash handling procedures and banking regulations.Proficiency with financial software and basic computer applications.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.Experience with enterprise management systems and advanced financial software.Certification in banking operations or cash management.Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills.Experience working in a management role within the management of companies and enterprises sector.Responsibilities:Supervise and lead the teller team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity and service quality.Manage daily cash operations, including balancing cash drawers, preparing deposits, and reconciling discrepancies promptly.Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, company policies, and security procedures to minimize risk and maintain operational integrity.Serve as the primary point of contact for teller-related issues, resolving customer concerns and operational challenges efficiently.Collaborate with management to develop and implement process improvements that enhance teller operations and customer experience.Skills:The Head Teller utilizes strong leadership and communication skills daily to motivate and manage the teller team effectively, ensuring smooth operations and high morale. Analytical skills are essential for balancing cash drawers accurately and identifying discrepancies or potential fraud.
