Job Description

This position is responsible for conducting enthusiastic interactions to uncover needs, inspire possibilities, provide financial education, and deliver solutions to advance our members' financial success. Guided by a strong commitment to provide a better financial future for our members, the Financial Solutions Specialist (FSS) will suggest relevant products and services to help our members meet their financial goals. The FSS will build and strengthen member relationships by providing industry leading member experience. Adaptability, futuristic-thinking, and a strong sense of teamwork is the foundation of our Financial Solutions Specialist.What You'll DoProactively promote an atmosphere of quality service and solutions through enthusiastic member interactions in-branch and by phoneEstablish supportive and productive long-term member relationships through rapport, trust, and diplomacyProactively greet and interact with members as they enter the Credit UnionEngage with members through active listening and productive conversation to uncover member needs and financial goalsProactively seek opportunities to maximize member loyalty through industry leading products and serviceBuild and strengthen the member relationship by assessing their financial wellness and offering education and solutions to advance financial successMaintain composure and professionalism in a high production and changing environmentEducate and assist members in using LGE technology offered to complete transactionsAccurately process member financial transactions as needed to include, but not limited to:Deposits, Withdrawals, and PaymentsMaintain collected negotiable items and balance daily to ensure accuracy and complianceOpen membership accounts including but not limited to: Deposit Accounts, Specialty Accounts, Business AccountsSeek to resolve account issues/discrepancies and provide solutions and/or alternativesObtain appropriate application information/documentation to ensure loans are originated and closed accuratelyDemonstrate sound judgment in loan origination by providing clear and detailed notes with loan applicationsReview the credit report to determine whether additional opportunities are available such as:New Shares , Auto Refinance, Debt Consolidation, Credit Card, Mortgage LoansAssure that applications and supporting documentation is complete prior to the closing of a loan, deposit account, or other related product/serviceMeet or exceed established individual/team service and sales goalsAssist with daily branch operational duties to promote an optimal branch environment and experienceDemonstrate positive behaviors that promote high morale, cooperation, and enthusiasmMaintain awareness and report potentially suspicious/fraudulent activity to prevent credit union lossesProactively maintain in-depth knowledge to have the ability to answer routine/complex questions and provide solutions/suggestions in regards to: LGE Products and Service, Branch Policies and Procedures, and Rules and RegulationsDemonstrate a committed effort to obtain expert level knowledge of the FSS role through LGE's Universal Agent Training ProgramParticipate in and assist with Business Development and Community outreach programsBe familiar with and follow all policies, procedures and processes which have been established in order to meet compliance requirements of all applicable federal regulations. The regulations include but are not limited to the Privacy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Reg. CC and Patriot ActWho You AreRequired: High School Diploma or equivalentRequired: 1+ years' customer service and/or sales experienceRequired: Comfortable working with little to no supervision in fast-paced environmentRequired: Basic understanding of computer operation and programsPreferred: Associates Degree in Business or related fieldPreferred: 1+ years retail, credit union, or financial services experiencePreferred: Bilingual Spanish SpeakingAbility to effectively communicate in oral and written formAbility to cross-sell products and servicesAbility to gather, interpret, and solve complex problemsMust be flexible in supporting other branch officesDemonstrated proficiency with computer programs to include, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and WordAbility to gain and obtain the knowledge of lending practices; regarding interpretation of credit bureau reports, underwriting criteria, and basic lending philosophy
