The financial specialist will provide financial support to WCNT staff as well as internal and external users of the facilities. Duties will include center billing budgeting expense tracking financial reporting preparing purchase orders and assisting staff with purchasing and travel reimbursements. This position reports to the WCNT Director.Partial remote work available after a training period has been completed.Key Job Responsibilities:Drafts communications and advanced reports and maintains organization of varied records to provide administrative support within a specified work unitReallocates expenses to appropriate funding stringsAudits monitors organizes and updates fiscal records reports and affiliated materialsAudits or reconciles original purchase documents with paymentsAudits or processes advanced transactions and assigns funding codes in accordance with established rules regulations and policiesCreates general reporting for transactionsAnswers advanced fiscal questions and provides information based on set materials and standards to various audiencesReviews transaction processing internal controls and recommends policies and proceduresDepartment:The University of Wisconsin Madison College of Engineering Wisconsin Centers for Nanoscale Technologies (WCNT) includes the Nanoscale Fabrication Center (NFC) the Soft Materials Characterization Laboratory (SMCL) and the Nanoscale Imaging and Analysis Center (NIAC). The centers are shared instrumentation facilities providing equipment facilities and expertise in nano-fabrication electron microscopy micro-analysis and soft materials characterization.
