The Financial Systems Director leads the modernization and optimization of financial systems for the Accounting and Finance Departments. This role sets a strategic direction, drives efficiency through innovative solutions, and manages a team dedicated to supporting and improving financial platforms. The position ensures systems align with business needs and delivers actionable insights for decision-making. This position reports into the tms VP, Global Financial Controller.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
  • Lead the strategic transformation and optimization of financial systems to support evolving business needs.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for financial systems modernization, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Build and nurture cross-functional partnerships to drive integrated solutions and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high performing financial systems team, promoting professional growth and operational excellence.
  • Serve as the Business Process Owner for financial systems projects, overseeing design, implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Design and implement scalable intercompany solutions within ERP platforms, leveraging consolidated reporting tools such as Hyperion.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Enhance management reporting capabilities, delivering timely and actionable insights for executive decision making.
  • Oversee master data governance, ensuring data integrity and alignment across all business functions.
  • Assess current practices and procedures, recommending and implementing improvements to drive operational excellence.
  • Lead change management initiatives, including user training and support for new systems and processes.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with a proven record of leading financial systems transformation.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Deep expertise in large-scale ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365), including system implementation, integration, and optimization.
  • Demonstrated success in driving process automation, operational efficiency, and innovative solutions within financial systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and data management tools; ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; with the ability to assess and improve business processes.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Starting salary between$185-200K
