Job Description

Responsibilities and DutiesOperational:Perform operational tasks within Stratus Financials including, but not exclusive to daily transmit, journal uploads and approvals, interface processes for data coming into the production environment from Payroll, Student Financials and US Bank/ProCard Data. Assist users with questions regarding Stratus functionality, including workflow and access concerns.Perform month-end and year-end close functions as assigned. In conjunction with OTS, manage user security assignment to Stratus Financials, including periodic audits of security roles. Take back-up responsibility for daily maintenance and update of the university's extensive chart of accounts including State Support, Self-Support, Agency and Grants cost centers, natural accounts, sources, and initiatives, hierarchy, and cross-validation rules. Systems:Participate in functional testing of Oracle (Stratus), and PeopleSoft HCM/CS upgrades, patches, and bundles in conjunction with OTS. Perform task assignments, interpret, and respond to user problems related to Stratus and work closely with technical and managerial staff to improve functional support procedures. Isolate problems from symptoms and/or help line calls and troubleshoot for solutions. Communications: Develop and maintain strong communications with university campus departments. Work in collaboration with staff in OTS, Human Resources, SUBO and the Budget Office to ensure efficient and effective integrated processes. Participate in work teams for operational issues from the functional perspective. Coordinate with campus users Stratus updates to Financial Stewards and Cost Center Managers. Designated web content contributor for all Financial Affairs, University Accounting, and SUBO, which involves making content changes requested by department leads. Stay up to date on web content/editor training, software, accessibility and University standards.Technical Duties:Handle special requests such as third monitors or peripherals and new PC/laptop setups. Assist with troubleshooting computer and peripheral problems, software problems with Microsoft programs, web browsers, Stratus, and Virtual Workspace. Map network drives and printers. Work with OTS on behalf of staff members for significant issues and/or installations/setups requiring OTS Support. Responsible for installation of BlueZone (RSTARS interface) and VPN setup for the connection to Annapolis and troubleshooting issues on both the TU and Annapolis side. Address problems with Oracle (Stratus) spreadsheet upload. Assist Business Systems Manage with inventory management and coordination.Documentation:Maintain User guides and procedure manuals.Qualifications and SkillsBachelor’s Degree and two years of related experience.The ability to organize, prioritize and track tasks, requests, and projects effectively; to correctly interpret and resolve problems and issues; to understand and carry out instructions effectively; and to establish and maintain productive and cooperative working relationships, maintain business communications, work productively and efficiently with minimal oversight.Preferred software knowledge:Oracle Cloud ERP, PeopleSoft HCM/CS Applications, Adobe, BlueZone (terminal emulator), Crystal Reporting, Perceptive Content, Web Site Content Management.Organization: Administration & Finance DivisionPrimary Location: Main CampusJob Posting: Dec 5, 2025
